UBI’s Touch-Display Projector
UBI have developed a combination of Microsoft’s Kinect and a projector to create a way of turning any surface into an interactive environment. The projector displays from the input as normal, but now the Kinect has been programmed to pick up a user’s gestures and then feeds back the information to the computer, thus allowing a user to navigate around much the same as they would when using a touch screen.
This new technology could pave the way for how business meetings are carried out on a day to day basis or even could replace interactive whiteboards in classrooms. The product could also be used for entertainment purposes in homes, which is shown during its video demo’s where a user can be seen playing angry birds on his wall.
