No Wires at Tesco
Tesco are now starting to experiment with free Wi-Fi in their stores. The idea is currently in a testing phase, however plans are to roll out the Wi-Fi nationally are not too far off. But, why would you want to use the internet while you are shopping? The current only purpose seems to be price comparison online, but who would spend time doing that?
Generally, shopping is a chore; you just want to get it over with. I do not really see people actively using it while shopping. However if there was an in-store café, people may wish to use it there. This could possibly be Tesco trying to catch up with the modern day. Despite Tesco’s efforts there does not seem to be much purposeful application for free Wi-Fi in store.
