Kindle on the Cloud
Amazon has just released their cloud based Kindle Reader. This allows anyone with an internet connection to connect to the Kindle cloud and download their entire book collection. Books can be read both directly off the cloud and from local storage.
Currently the web app is compatible with Chrome, Safari for Mac and Safari for iPad. Amazon claim that support for other browsers (such as safari on the iPhone) is coming soon.
The Kindle Cloud reader harnesses the new technology of HTML5 to display content effectively for consumers. The cloud based reader also boasts other features such as synchronisation, access to over 950,000 books and a customisable interface.
Will we see more apps being based solely in the web browser from now on?
