Google Chrome and Internet Explorer: Browser Wars
Google Chrome is now the most popular web browser worldwide, passing Microsoft’s Internet Explorer for the first time in history. It has taken the lead with a 32.76% share in web browsing whilst Internet Explorer has fallen to 31.94%. Just a year ago Internet Explorer was the leading the web browser with a 43% market share. Because of this huge loss of market share Microsoft have begun an advertisement campaign encouraging users back to Internet Explorer. Regardless of its worldwide success, Chrome is still has 14% less of the market share in the US than Internet Explorer.
Mozilla Firefox is still a contender, with its secure place in third place. Firefox still holds a 25% worldwide share, which has dipped only 4% since last year.
