Bing Bang Bong
Microsoft’s search engine Bing Has gained attention over the last few days. Microsoft lost $2.6 billion last year from their online services division. Bing’s stake in the search engine market has slowly increased since its debut in 2009. However it still holds less than 30% of the search engine market and is no competition to search giant Google.
It is being suggested that Bing should go up for sale, but who would buy it? It has been said that Facebook may have its eyes on it. This would allow Facebook to be on a level playing field with Google; both having a search engine and a social network.
Bing also released many TV adverts in the UK; this could have been responsible for its initial success. Now the adverts are no longer running, will Bing be able to keep up?
